this is the entrance to the next dead reds event... it's to be held @ the hwy inn on anzac highway!! v.cool place :)) thanks goes to Tom seeing my shout out today on the dead reds facebook wall that ended up on twitter (im @charlierobinson). that ended up with him calling me and us meeting and it all being sweet by tonight!! dont ya just love social media?

im here with the lovely lesley with her being there to present for the speakers in schools program. she's just done one presentation to the years nine's (as they file out the back...) and she's about to focus her attention on the year tens. the year tens are probably better for us as we can influence considerations into uni or futher studies and also science or maths studies - that might end up towards engineering etc...but we might also just motivate some MANNERS too (LOL). it was an enjoyable morning :)

it was the crush festival, we were at the stirling pub, and we were there to listen to becky sing... always a joy. very relaxing - the weather was stunning.
and i finally got to meet jodie - who i knew at school, who looks after my home security (GenTec) and who i rehooked back up with via FaceBook!! smiles all round.

"the internet is for porn" song had me nearly wetting myself - absolutely found it hilarious!! what I didnt find hilarious that day was the realisation that the service foursquare is really just a stalkers tool. ive ceased using it. sori guys!! :) xc

quick tea with the girls tonight.
it's been a full day.
had to increase privacy settings on facebook due to unwelcome visits to me and friends by the individuals. i, like most, love a joke and a bit of fun but not this type!! anyway, lets hope they move on of their own accord. its true i dont know everyone on my profile personally - how could i with 1360 contacts? seriously - lets be real. many connect because of similar interests, my wine group, my social media interests, some for a laugh etc... and some obviously just for the peep show. this side of it kinda creeps me out but i generally just ignore... they are tame if you leave them be - and i dont say too much up there that's gonna get the personal side of me into any real trouble. but i do have my daughters and their friends - so when i get a creepy stalking - well, that's different. that's a whole new kettle of fish. so, it's a lesson to always be careful and watchful. for us all. so, we all had a good chat about it on facebook today c/o my status update. never hurts to remind :)
secondly, my border (dana) received "mayorship" of my very own home on foursquare.com LOL what a shock. i am now in the race to try and sort that!!
thirdly, we had to all comment on amburgers blog - What song made you want to shake your booty this week? waytoruinthemoment.blogspot.com/2010/01/is-your-booty-sha... (have you answered? i have).
fourthly, always hapi to help friends, lend support, be there, prop up, hug, work wonders, help promote, whatever and really hapi to have the support back. just never take it for granted. good old fashioned values. nothing wrong with them. i am reminded of this constantly lately - to remember my core values, be who i want to be and be strong. sounds wanky and i soooooo dont care. its my thought for the day :) xc

what an absolutely fantatsic nite to celebrate my birfday properly with good friends. we were Tongue Thai'd well and truely with a banquet to delight anyone, the eggplant dish being the winner from the nite with everyone gushing about it and many trying to work out how to recreate once they got home!!
we simply had a ball and i'd like to thank the friends who came along and made it so special. xx

last day of my holiday. quite sad about that. but it's my birfday week as well... so plenty to reflect on, look forward to and be hapi about. during this time i DO stop & reflect who i am, what i achieved, where i'm going. i have gorgeous girls & supportive family, great friends, a good job, a home & am healthy. asking for more would be selfish & that's not something i aspire to. thanku for sharing with me virtually... if you cross over & enjoy me in the flesh - thankyu, ur friendship means the world to me.
there is so much going on in the world and some days i do get too caught up in it all. the crazy pace, the negative attitudes, and the general misfortune some people wish on others. in my 44th year - starting this thursday - i can only hope i feel more content, settled, peaceful and compassionate. i really do have a good life and i have no complaints. hey - wouldn't we all love to win the lottery - but then with that comes a whole new set of problems.
so, maybe i'll stick with keeping my girls hapi, cherishing my friends for who they are and staying on track. it's the best promise i can make to you. hapi days xc

hey - went along to a great jazz session this arvo. was so hot decided to sit in a beer garden with a fine mist spray around us - aaaaah noice :)
jazz was by Mike Foenander and guests like Catherine Lambert!! excellent show all round. mike's been on myspace for ages and he told me they funded their last CD from sales off myspace, so when i suggested a "facebook fan page" he wasnt into it fully at first. he "got it" from the point of view of locals in adelaide based events etc - but not sales. i agree myspace is certainly the place for bands.
anyway, we've set him up a fan page and will see how it goes... with the fringe coming up - it will hopefully be well used :))

maria and i went in search of a chinese new year outfit, tried heaps on and walked away feeling extremely FAT!! biggest they do is a size 12... but please no boobs with that LOL

we went and ate chinese food instead ahahahaaaa yummo - chinatown cafe @ the markets. cant go wrong chicken rice. love the broth / soup. it also because today's "edible365" flickr foto... xc

nothing beats a swim on a hot day... this pool is designed to exercise you as well ie you swim against a current... so typing is hard because i have worked my arm muscles these past two days!!!
i caught a few rays and read facebook status comments whilst miss JM played on longer. was nice way to spend the hour...
i had one of those moments today where i said "for such an online savvy chick, i can be pretty clueless sometimes". things happen for a reason and i know many many many people who play online games - you can sit back and watch from afar (an dlaugh or cry) or you can jump in and get involved, either way, no-one wins.
i'll stick to the simple life and simple people thanks. xc

the big spoil... Miss JM having the model trains run especially for her. Her Uncle Dean is pretty good like that cause we cant always get there on a weekend that co-incides with them being open!! Nice to have a moment of "who you know" LOL xc

had an absolutely glorious arvo walking around the property, picking fresh fruit from the trees, watching out for snakes, taking in the views, being overfed and generally chilling out big time ... aaaaaah :)))
