the official launch experiment of #twandup10 happened tonight. in amongst telstra crashing and various other things... it was quite successful. "experiment" means just that... some fine tuning will occur :)

OK. so we did the parade. now we had to check out the garden. we wandered, saw a kids show, went up on the ferris wheel (nearing shitting myself LOL) and bumped inot friends.
lovely way to spend an arvo... wasnt gonna wait the 2 hours for the maze though!! LOL xc

so with my day job, i ended up in port augusta with the australian string quartet putting on a show for music students, their parents, teachers and various other industry reps. im here with alison (left, CEO of the ASQ) and sophie (middle, 1st violin) after what could only be described as a very successful night.

ps big thanks to greg curnow, music teacher from the area and the combo of ken/kylie from country arts plus all the venue organisers and volunteers. what a legendary crowd xx

its fringe silly season and this was parade night. we had all sorts of plans and people to meet up with and some of it happened and then went away and some of it didnt and some of it bumped into us on the night and we ended up that way... yep, we were all over the place. as far as getting something to eat or drink goes, well, that was even crazier.
next year, we will plan. well. xc

met with a girlfriend for lunch today and we talked about online profiles and identities and social mediums and maintaining the "desired effect" ie our professional image v our social v our family v our friends v our sometimes very public persona.

busy day but i took a break. dont do it often. i was between offices and 20 mins early for a meeting. i read the paper. have to confess its a very long time since i sat down and read a printed version of a paper. it was interesting. different. not bad.
i get media monitor emails, google reader, google alerts, blogs RSS feeds, email newsletter, friends posts, twitter, friend feed, you name it every day. i am spammed. but i love it. the more i get - the more i love.
what i found with reading the paper, was i picked up trivial crap. some of it was amusing. some of it might have been tiring over time.
do you like trivial crap? is that what the paper is for? love to know xc

its time to move mum into serviced apartments or retirement type serviced units. she's been in a unit for several years now, living independently but with her health its no longer viable. so... she did some investigations through the week and we went and checked them out. then we drove back along the esplanade. it was near north haven and largs bay. wOw - have these areas come a long way since i drove down there last. absolutely stunning and they have a real beachside resort feel to them.
by the time we stopped for icecream i was hooked :)

Social Butterflies...
Butterflies are important economically as agents of pollination. Culturally, butterflies are a popular motif in the visual and literary arts.The Ancient Greek word for "butterfly" is ψυχή (psȳchē), which primarily means "soul", "mind".
Social butterfly means a gregarious person.
Social media is media designed to be disseminated through social interaction, created using highly accessible and scalable publishing techniques.
So, we started a group called the "Social Butterflies", based here in Adelaide to flutter through others worlds and to see where we could take things.

Karl with a big story and a bigger heart... this is his official farewell day from work. big BBQ lunch type thing in the gardens. quite sad for many - i have only had the priviledge and honor of knowing Karl for the two years i have worked here - many have known him a lot lot longer, as evident by the turnout. he has touched us all through his strength personality, charm and ongoing humour.
